Don Bridges as “Corin” in Shakespeare Republic: #AllTheWebsAStage (The Lockdown Chronicles)

Currently based in Melbourne, Australia, Don Bridges has been an actor for over 50 years, working in the creative industries as an actor, director, voice artist and teacher.

His work as actor or director in theatre includes Unicorn in London, Columbia University in New York, Geary Theatre in San Francisco, Essential Theatre, HIT Productions, La Mama, Incognita Enterprises, and over twenty-five productions for Melbourne Theatre Company. 

Films include  Hands Up Who’d Like a Hug, Rotten, Button Man, Judy and Punch, Patched, Two Heads Creek, Paper Champions, Tender Hook, Romper Stomper, Evil Angels, Malcolm, Rikki & Pete, Road to Nhill, The Hard Word, The Oyster Farmer, Charlotte’s Web, Gettin’ Square and Cohen the Barbarian in Terry Pratchett’s TrollBridge

Television includes roles in The Twelve, Nautilus, The Clearing, Jack Irish, Blue Heelers, Man from Snowy River, Neighbours, Stingers, Something in the Air, The Miss Fisher Murder Mysteries and Upper Middle Bogan.

Don is also a musician, playing guitar, mandolin, ukulele and bodhran (Irish drum).

Don also proudly serves as Vice President of the Victorian Actors’ Benevolent Trust.

Shakespeare Republic audiences will remember Don from his beautiful work as “Corin” in Shakespeare Republic: #AllTheWebsAStage (The Lockdown Chronicles), a performance that was awarded alongside the rest of our amazing cast with Best Ensemble (International Narrative) at the 2021 New Zealand WebFest, Best Ensemble Cast (Drama) at the 2021 British Web Awards, Best Ensemble Performance at the 2022 London Web Fest in the UK and nominated for Best Ensemble Performance (Drama) at the 2022 International Academy of Web Television Awards in the USA.
